Becoming a Music Star
Majic Massey started his music journey early. While still in high school, he won many talent shows. His amazing talent helped him get a recording deal with a company called Undeniable Records. This company was run by Major League Baseball legend Frank Thomas.
Working with Top Producers
Even with some tough times, Majic was determined to make his music career happen. He worked very hard and made important connections. This led him to work with famous music producers.
One of these producers was No ID, who is also from Chicago. No ID has helped create music for big artists like Common and Kanye West. Majic also worked with Swizz Beatz, another well-known producer who has worked with Jay-Z and DMX. Music producers help artists create their songs and albums.

Majic Massey's album, Love D.N.A., was greatly inspired by his hometown of Chicago. He wanted his music to show different parts of life in the Midwest. He said that listeners from anywhere, "from New York to Atlanta to California and beyond," could understand his music.

The album Love D.N.A. features contributions from many talented producers. These include established names like Swizz Beatz and Scott Storch. It also featured newer producers like Chris Henderson and Lil Ronnie. Chris Henderson worked on Jamie Foxx's song "Blame It." Lil Ronnie worked on R. Kelly's "Same Girl."
The rapper Twista was also featured on Love D.N.A.. He appeared on Majic Massey's single "I Want Her." This song became the number one requested single on Urban radio stations.
