Malasar Peak facts for kids
Malasar Peak is a mountain peak in Antarctica. It's part of the huge Ellsworth Mountains. This peak rises very high, reaching about 2,980 meters (that's over 9,700 feet!). It's special because some parts of it are not covered in ice, even in Antarctica!
Malasar Peak is found on a ridge that stretches out from Mount Dalrymple. This ridge goes for about 9 kilometers (about 5.6 miles) towards Robinson Pass. The peak stands above two large glaciers: Embree Glacier to its southeast and Sabazios Glacier to its north.

How did Malasar Peak get its name?
The name "Malasar Peak" comes from a very old place in Southern Bulgaria. There was an ancient and medieval fortress there called Malasar. It's interesting how places in Antarctica can be named after historical sites from far-off countries!
