Malvín is a lively barrio, which means a neighborhood or district, located in Montevideo, the capital city of Uruguay. It's known for its beautiful coastline and fun activities.

Where is Malvín Located?
Malvín is right on the coast, which means it has lovely beaches! To its west, you'll find the Buceo neighborhood. To the north, it borders Malvín Norte and Las Canteras. And to the east, it's next to Punta Gorda.
What Makes Malvín Special?
Malvín is famous for its amazing beach, Playa Malvín, which runs along the Rambla O'Higgins coastal avenue. This area used to be a very popular vacation spot.
Over time, the city grew, and Malvín became a very popular place to live. Many new buildings were built, and it's now one of the fastest-growing areas in Montevideo. Because it's such a great place, the land here is quite valuable! Malvín is named after a person called Juan Balvín.
This neighborhood actually includes two smaller areas that used to be separate: Malvín Nuevo and Malvín Viejo.
Birdwatching at Isla de las Gaviotas
Near Malvín, there's a small island called Isla de las Gaviotas, which means "Seagulls Islet." It's a fantastic place for birdwatching! You can see many different kinds of birds there.
