Mamnoon Hussain (Urdu: ممنون حسین ; born December 23, 1940 – died July 14, 2021) was a Pakistani politician and businessman. He served as the 12th President of Pakistan from 2013 to 2018.
He was known as a nationalist conservative. This means he believed in strong national identity and traditional values.

Early Life and Education
Mamnoon Hussain was born in Agra, which was part of British Raj (now India). His family later moved to Pakistan.
He studied at Karachi University, where he earned a degree in Commerce. He also got a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the Institute of Business Administration, Karachi.
Political Career
Mamnoon Hussain was a member of the Pakistan Muslim League (N) political party. He held important roles in the government.
Governor of Sindh
In 1999, Mamnoon Hussain briefly served as the Governor of Sindh. This is a high-ranking position in one of Pakistan's provinces.
His time as governor ended suddenly. This happened because the military took control of the government in 1999. This event is known as a military coup.
Becoming President of Pakistan
In 2013, his political party, the Pakistan Muslim League (N), won many votes in the general elections. After this victory, Mamnoon Hussain was chosen to become the President.
He was elected President of Pakistan on July 30, 2013. He won by a large number of votes, showing strong support. He served as President for five years, until September 9, 2018.
Later Life and Death
In February 2020, Mamnoon Hussain was diagnosed with cancer. He passed away from the illness on July 14, 2021. He was 80 years old and died in a hospital in Karachi, Pakistan.
