The Governor of Sindh is like the main representative of the President in the province of Sindh, Pakistan. Think of them as a special guest or a symbolic head. While they are important, the real day-to-day decisions and running of the province are handled by the Chief Minister and the Chief Secretary. The current Governor of Sindh is Kamran Tessori. He started his role on October 9, 2022.

Sometimes in Pakistan's history, the Governor's powers became much stronger. This happened when the provincial governments were temporarily stopped. During these times, the Governor took direct control of the province. This occurred during periods of martial law or special "Governor's Rule." In Sindh, there were three times when the Governor took over directly. This happened in 1951–1953, 1988, and 1998.

The President of Pakistan chooses the Governor. This choice is made based on the advice of the Prime Minister. The official home of the Governor of Sindh is the Governor House in Karachi.

First Governor of Sindh

Before Pakistan became independent in 1947, Sir Charles Napier was the first Chief Commissioner and Governor of Sind. This was between 1843 and 1847.
