Mamoudou Athie (born 1988) is an American actor. He is known for his main roles in movies like Uncorked and Black Box. Early Life and Education

Mamoudou Athie was born in 1988 in Mauritania, a country in Africa. His father was a diplomat who received special permission to live in the U.S. when Mamoudou was just six months old. Mamoudou grew up in New Carrollton, Maryland, which is near Washington, D.C..

He studied acting at the William Esper Studio. Later, he earned a special degree called an MFA from the Yale School of Drama in 2014.
