Mandy Wei (in Chinese: 魏蔓) is a famous actress, model, and host from Taiwan. She began her career as a model and later became a host for MTV. After that, she started her successful acting career. Wei went to Soochow University and can speak Mandarin, Taiwanese, and English.

Early Life and Education

Mandy Wei was born on September 5, 1984, in Taipei, Taiwan. She has a younger brother. She attended Taipei Municipal Neihu Senior High School and later studied International Business at Soochow University.

During her teenage years, Wei decided to focus on a healthier lifestyle. By eating healthy foods and exercising every day, she became more fit and confident. She has kept up these healthy habits throughout her life.

Modeling and Hosting

Wei's career started in 2006 when she became a fashion and swimwear model. Her modeling work made her well-known, and she even appeared in a music video for the famous singer Jay Chou in 2008.

In the same year, MTV Taiwan asked her to be a VJ (video jockey). She hosted music and entertainment news shows, where she interviewed many local musicians. Later, in 2012, she also hosted for the popular news website Apple Daily Taiwan.

After Love, Now, Wei was offered her first lead role in the 2013 drama Deja Vu. She played a woman who makes a great sacrifice for the person she loves. The show became a huge hit.

Thanks to her success, she starred in another popular drama in 2014 called Say Again Yes I Do. For this role, she changed her look by cutting her long hair very short. The show was a ratings success.
