Maniesh Paul (born August 3, 1981) is a famous Indian actor, TV host, model, and singer. He started his career as a radio jockey (RJ) and video jockey (VJ). Later, he became an actor, then a stand-up comedian, and a host. Maniesh is known as one of the best TV hosts of his time. People love his charming personality, how he can do many different things, and his fun way of presenting shows.

Early Life and Background

Maniesh Paul was born and grew up in New Delhi, India. His family is from Sialkot but moved to Delhi. They were involved in the financial business.

He went to Apeejay School in Sheikh Sarai, New Delhi. After school, he studied Tourism at the College of Vocational Studies at Delhi University. Later, he lived with his grandmother in Chembur, Mumbai.

Starting Out in Entertainment

Maniesh began his career in Delhi. He hosted many cultural events in schools and colleges. Later, he moved to Mumbai. His first big chance was hosting Sunday Tango on Star Plus in 2002.

He also worked as a VJ for Zee Music. Plus, he was a radio jockey for Radio City's morning show, Kasakai Mumbai.

Acting Roles

After his early hosting jobs, Maniesh tried acting. He played a ghost in Ghost Bana Dost on STAR One. He also acted in many TV shows. These included Radhaa Ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhayengi on NDTV Imagine. He also appeared in Zindadil, Ssshhhh...Phir Koi Hai, Wheel Ghar Ghar Mein, Kahani Shuru with Love Guru, and Kuchh Cook Hota Hai.

However, he didn't feel happy with these daily TV shows. So, he stopped acting in them. He was even without work for eight months in 2008.

Maniesh had small roles in movies like Tees Maar Khan (2010). His first main movie role was in Mickey Virus (2013). He played a computer expert named Mickey. This movie was well-liked by many.

Maniesh then became a very successful television host. He became well-known after hosting Saa Ree Gaa Maa Paa Chhote Ustaad. He also appeared in the comedy show Comedy Circus. He hosted Dance India Dance Li'l Masters on Zee TV.

He even took part in Star Ya Rockstar, a singing show. He also co-hosted Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 7 with Ranvir Shorey. Maniesh also hosted the Indian version of Science of Stupid.
