Manoharsinhji Pradyumansinhji Jadeja (born November 18, 1935 – died September 27, 2018) was an important Indian politician. He was also known as Manoharsinh Jadeja. He came from the royal family of Rajkot.

Early Life and Education
Manoharsinhji was born in the Ranjit Vilas Palace in Rajkot. He was the oldest son of Pradyumansinhji Lakhajirajsinhji. His father was the 14th Thakore Saheb of Rajkot.
He went to school at Rajkumar College in Rajkot. Later, he studied at Elphinstone College in Mumbai. He earned degrees in arts and law. He also received a Master of Laws degree from the University of London.
A Talented Cricketer
Like his father and grandfather, Manoharsinhji loved cricket. He was a skilled player. He played his first big cricket match for the Saurashtra team in 1955. This was against the Gujarat team. In that first game, he scored 59 runs.
He became the captain of the Saurashtra team in 1957. He played regularly until he stopped playing in 1964. Manoharsinhji usually played as a top batsman. His highest score was 144 runs in a match against Gujarat in 1957. Overall, he played 14 first-class matches. He scored 614 runs in total.
His Political Journey
Manoharsinhji was a member of the Indian National Congress party. In 1967, he was elected to the Gujarat Legislative Assembly. This is like the state parliament. He represented the Rajkot area.
In 1973, his father passed away. Manoharsinhji then became the Thakore Saheb of Rajkot. After India became independent in 1947, this title no longer held real power. It was more of a respectful title. However, the family still owned the properties linked to the title.
He served two more times as a member of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly. These terms were from 1980 to 1985 and from 1990 to 1995. During these years, he held important roles in the government. He was a minister for Finance, Youth Services, and Health. From 1998, he was a vice-president for the Congress party in Gujarat. In politics, he was often known as "Manoharsinh Jadeja."
Family Life
Manoharsinhji married Mankumari Devi Sahiba in 1949. She was the daughter of Tej Singh Prabhakar, the Maharaja of Alwar. They had one son and three daughters.
He also had a special interest in vintage cars. In 2010, he bought back a very old and famous car. It was a "Star of India" Rolls-Royce Phantom II. This car was custom-built for his grandfather in 1934. It had been out of the family for 42 years. At one point, it was the most expensive car in the world!
His Passing
Manoharsinhji passed away at his home in the Ranjit Vilas Palace on September 27, 2018. He was 82 years old.
