Mansface Hill is a cool mountain near Green River, Wyoming. It's famous because some of its rocks look like a giant face staring up at the sky! This unique mountain stands 6,690 feet tall.

Getting to Mansface Hill

You can reach Mansface Hill from Green River using two roads. One road starts at the top of South Hill, near Wyoming Highway 530. It follows a pipeline for a short distance before heading to the top.

The second road begins near River View Drive in Green River. On maps like Google Earth or a GPS, this road might be called "Knotty Pine Street." During winter, snow can make these roads hard to use.

What's on Top?

The very top of Mansface Hill is home to several radio towers. These towers help local businesses and government groups communicate.

For example, the City of Green River's police department has a tower there. There's also a tower for cell phones, which you can easily see from far away. Another tower helps broadcast a local radio station, K232CU, on 94.3 FM.

The Christmas Tree Tradition

Every year, usually in late November or early December, something special happens on Mansface Hill. Local people bring a Christmas tree all the way to the top!

They decorate the tree, and it lights up at night, shining brightly for everyone to see. The power for the lights comes from the nearby towers. In 2007, a local business called "The Radio Network" helped put up the tree.
