Manuel Pasqual (born on March 13, 1982) is a retired Italian professional footballer. He played for the Italy national team. Manuel was known for being a strong left-back. He was very good at crossing the ball to his teammates. He could also play as a wide midfielder or a wing-back. Pasqual was also a specialist at set pieces, like free-kicks and corners. He often helped his team score by providing assists from his amazing passes.

Club Career: Manuel Pasqual's Journey in Football
Early Days: Starting Out in Football
Manuel Pasqual began his football journey with smaller teams. He played for clubs like Derthona and Pordenone in Italy's lower leagues. In January 2002, he joined Arezzo. Before that, he also played a short time for Treviso.
At Arezzo, Manuel quickly became a very important player. He helped his team get promoted to a higher league called Serie B. He continued to play well for Arezzo for another season.
Fiorentina: Becoming a Star Player
On July 4, 2005, Manuel Pasqual joined Fiorentina, a big club in Serie A. He played his first game in Serie A on September 18, 2005, against Udinese. Fiorentina won that match 4–2. His great performances in his first season caught the eye of the Italy national team coach, Marcello Lippi. In June 2006, Fiorentina officially bought him completely.
At Fiorentina, Manuel was known for his powerful left foot. He was also famous for his strong runs down the field. After a tough season in 2007–08, many thought he might leave the club. However, he made a fantastic comeback in the 2008–09 season. He played so well that he even scored his first goal in over two years!
In July 2009, Pasqual signed a new three-year contract with Fiorentina. He extended his contract again in November 2011. From the 2012–13 season onwards, Manuel Pasqual became the team captain for Fiorentina. This showed how much the club trusted and valued him.
Empoli: A New Chapter
On May 31, 2016, Manuel Pasqual signed a two-year contract with Empoli. He continued his professional career there, bringing his experience to the team.
International Career: Playing for Italy
Manuel Pasqual's excellent skills on the field earned him a spot on the Italy national team. The coach at the time, Marcello Lippi, called him up for a friendly match against Germany. This game was played in Florence, at Fiorentina's home stadium, on March 1, 2006. Italy won the match by a surprising score of 4–1. Manuel came on as a substitute in the last minute.
He also got attention from the next Italy coach, Roberto Donadoni. Donadoni called Pasqual for important qualification matches for the UEFA Euro 2008 tournament. On September 10, 2013, he played in a 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier against the Czech Republic. He was even part of the group of players considered for the World Cup in 2014, but he was not chosen for the final team.
