Manuel Pasqual's Club Journey

Starting His Football Career

Manuel Pasqual began his football journey with smaller teams like Derthona and Pordenone. In January 2002, he joined Arezzo, a team in a league called Serie C1. He had also played for Treviso before that.

At Arezzo, Manuel quickly became a very important player. He helped his team get promoted to a higher league called Serie B. He played another great season for Arezzo, showing off his skills.

Playing for Fiorentina

On July 4, 2005, Manuel Pasqual joined Fiorentina. This was a big step up for him. He played his first game in Italy's top league, Serie A, on September 18 against Udinese. Fiorentina won that match 4–2.

His excellent playing in his first Serie A season caught the eye of Marcello Lippi, who was the coach of the Italian national team. This led to Manuel being called up to play for his country. In June 2006, Fiorentina bought him completely, making him a full-time player for their team.

At Fiorentina, Manuel became famous for his powerful left foot and his strong runs down the side of the field. After a tough season in 2007–08, some people thought he might leave the team. However, he made a fantastic comeback in the 2008–09 season. He played so well that he silenced his critics and even scored his first goal in over two years.

In July 2009, Manuel signed a new three-year contract with Fiorentina. He extended his contract again in November 2011, showing how important he was to the team. From the 2012–13 season, Manuel Pasqual became the team captain for Fiorentina. This was a big honor, showing his leadership skills.

Joining Empoli

On May 31, 2016, Manuel Pasqual signed a two-year contract with Empoli. He continued to play professional football there until his retirement.

Manuel Pasqual's International Career

Manuel Pasqual's great performances for his clubs earned him a spot on the Italian national team. The coach at the time, Marcello Lippi, called him up for a friendly match against Germany. This game was played in Florence, at Fiorentina's home stadium, on March 1, 2006. Italy won the match 4–1, and Manuel came on as a substitute in the last minute.

He also got the attention of Roberto Donadoni, who became the new Italy coach. Donadoni called Manuel up for several important qualification matches for the UEFA Euro 2008 tournament. On September 10, 2013, he played in a 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier against the Czech Republic.
