Marco Meilinger's Football Journey
Early Days and Youth Teams
Marco Meilinger began his football career with USK Anif. This team is from a town near Salzburg. In 2002, he moved to SV Austria Salzburg. Later, in 2005, he joined FC Red Bull Salzburg.
Playing for Senior Clubs
In 2009, Marco started playing for the second team of Red Bull Salzburg. This team was called Red Bull Juniors. He then signed with the main FC Red Bull Salzburg team in 2010.
In August 2011, he went on loan to SV Ried. He played there for two years. After that, in 2014, he joined Austria Wien. In 2016, Marco decided to try playing in a new country. He signed with the Danish club AaB.
On January 1, 2023, Marco Meilinger signed with Union Vöcklamarkt. This club plays in the Austrian Regionalliga Central.
Playing for Austria's Youth Teams
Marco Meilinger has also played for Austria's national youth teams. He started playing for them in 2008. In 2010, he was part of the Under-19 team. They played in the European Championship in France. His team also qualified for the Under-20 World Championship in 2011.
