Maria Brink is an American singer and songwriter. She was born on December 18, 1977. Maria is most famous as the lead singer of the metal band In This Moment. Her band has released eight studio albums. They have also received four important nominations. These include two from the Alternative Press Music Awards, one from the Grammy Awards, and one from the Loudwire Music Awards.

Maria Brink was born in Schenectady, New York. Her father left the family when she was very young. Her family moved often and lived in low-income housing. Starting a Band
Maria Brink's first band was called Pulse. They were based in Albany, New York. After that, she moved to California. In 2002, when she was 25, Maria moved to Los Angeles. She wanted to find a band to join. Before finding a band, she worked in stores. She also sang in coffee shops and bars.
In 2004, she met Chris Howorth at an audition. Chris is now a band member. At first, Chris was unsure about Maria. This was because she was a woman. But two weeks later, he changed his mind. Chris apologized and asked Maria to be the singer. They formed a band called Dying Star. Jeff Fabb joined them as the drummer. Later, Blake Bunzel became the guitarist. Josh Newell joined as the bassist. Soon after, the band changed its name to In This Moment.
Success with In This Moment
Maria Brink and her band have released eight studio albums. Their first album, Beautiful Tragedy, came out on March 20, 2007. Their second album, The Dream, was released on September 30, 2008. The band's third album, A Star-Crossed Wasteland, came out on July 9, 2010.
Their fourth album, Blood, was released on August 14, 2012. The fifth album, Black Widow, came out on November 17, 2014. Their sixth album, Ritual, was released on July 21, 2017. The seventh album, Mother, came out on March 27, 2020. Their newest album, Godmode, was released on October 27, 2023.
