About Marina Roy
Marina Roy was born in Quebec City, a historic city in Quebec, Canada. When she was younger, she moved to Vancouver, British Columbia.
She studied at several universities to become the artist and writer she is today. She earned a degree in French Literature from Université Laval. Then, she studied fine arts at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. Later, she completed her master's degree in fine arts at the University of British Columbia.
Today, Marina Roy is a professor at the University of British Columbia. She teaches in the Department of Art History, Visual Art, and Theory. Her work has been shown in many places, both in Canada and around the world. Some famous galleries that have shown her art include the Vancouver Art Gallery and the Contemporary Art Gallery.
