Mario Party 3 is a fun party video game for the Nintendo 64 console. It's the third game in the popular Mario Party series. This game was the last Mario Party adventure released on the Nintendo 64. Hudson Soft created it, and Nintendo published it. It first came out in Japan on December 7, 2000. Later, it arrived in North America on May 7, 2001, and in Europe on September 3, 2001.

Playing the Game

Mario Party 3 is similar to the first two Mario Party games. Players move around different game boards. Their goal is to collect coins and buy stars.

How to Move and Win

To move, players roll a special dice block. This block has numbers from one to ten. After everyone takes a turn, a mini-game begins. The player who wins the mini-game gets coins. The main goal is to have the most stars at the end of the game. That player becomes the winner!

Game Guy Space

A new and exciting part of this game is the Game Guy Space. If a player lands here, they must pay all their coins. Then, they play a special mini-game. If they win, their coins are doubled or even more! But if they lose, they lose all their coins. This unique space only appears in Mario Party 3.

Items and Boards

In this game, players can now hold up to three items at once. These items can help them on the board. There are six main game boards to play on. The last board can be unlocked by playing in Story Mode.

Duel Boards

Mario Party 3 also introduces duel boards. On these boards, two players face each other one-on-one. Each player can choose up to two partners to help them. There are twelve different partners available. The goal is to lower the other player's health to zero. There are six duel boards to discover. In Story Mode, you play duel boards after finishing party boards. Winning a duel board earns you a special stamp.

Characters to Play As

Eight different characters can be chosen to play in this game. Two characters, Waluigi and Princess Daisy, appear for the first time as playable characters in Mario Party 3.
