Mario Party 9 is a fun party video game made for the Nintendo Wii console. It's the twelfth game in the popular Mario Party series. Nd Cube developed this game, and Nintendo published it. It was the second and final Mario Party game released for the Wii. The game first came out in Europe on March 2, 2012. It then launched in other regions like North America, Japan, and Australia later that year.
How to Play Mario Party 9
In Mario Party 9, players move around game boards together. Everyone rides in a single vehicle. This vehicle changes to match the theme of the board you are playing on.
Instead of collecting coins and stars, players now collect "Mini Stars." You get Mini Stars by simply passing over spaces that have them. But watch out! Some spaces have "Mini Ztars," which will take away your Mini Stars.
Mini-games are played differently too. They don't happen after every turn anymore. Instead, you play a mini-game when someone lands on a special mini-game space. After a mini-game, players are ranked. The players who do best earn more Mini Stars.
Game Boards and Characters
There are seven different game boards to explore in Mario Party 9. One of these boards needs to be unlocked by playing the game. The boards now follow a straight path from start to finish. A game ends when all players reach the end of the board.
After finishing a board, players face off against a boss character. Each board has its own unique boss to defeat.
You can choose from twelve different characters to play as. Two of these characters are hidden at first. You'll need to unlock them by playing through Solo Mode.
