Mark Allen Bradley, born on December 3, 1956, is a former American baseball player. He played as an Outfielder in Major League Baseball (MLB). Mark played for the Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Mets during his career.

Mark Bradley's Baseball Career
Starting His Journey in Baseball
Mark Bradley graduated from Elizabethtown High School. He was first an infielder when the Los Angeles Dodgers picked him. This happened in the first round of the 1975 Major League Baseball draft.
He spent seven seasons playing in the Dodgers' minor league teams. During this time, he showed he was a good hitter. He hit 70 home runs and brought in 442 runs batted in (RBIs).
First Call-Up to the Majors
In 1981, Mark got his first chance to play in the big leagues. He was called up to the Dodgers in September. He had one hit, which was a double, in six tries.
Strong Performance in the Minors
Mark went back to the minor leagues in 1982. He played for the Albuquerque Dukes in Triple-A. He had a great year, hitting .317 with 12 home runs and 101 RBIs. Because of his strong play, he was called up to the Dodgers again in September.
Joining the New York Mets
In 1983, Mark Bradley was traded to the New York Mets. He joined the team during Spring training. He was hitting very well at the time.
He got his first hit as a Met on May 10. In that game, he had three hits, including a double. He also stole a base and scored a run.
First Major League Home Run
On June 2, Mark hit his first major league home run. He hit it as a pinch hitter against famous pitcher Fernando Valenzuela. This home run helped send the game into extra innings.
Mark played his only full season in the major leagues that year. He finished the season with a .202 batting average. He also hit three home runs and had five RBIs.
Retirement from Baseball
The Mets released Mark Bradley on February 22, 1984. He then played one more season for the San Jose Bees. After that season, Mark decided to retire from playing baseball.
