Where is Marne Located?
Marne is found in the eastern part of Licking County. It sits within Madison Township. A main road, Ohio State Route 16, runs along the southern edge of the community.
This road can take you to other places. If you drive west about 5 miles (8 km), you'll reach Newark. Newark is the main city in Licking County. If you head northeast for about 32 miles (51 km), you'll get to Coshocton.
Marne's Natural Surroundings
Marne is located in the valley of the Licking River. This river flows south of State Route 16. The Licking River flows east and eventually joins the Muskingum River. Both of these rivers are part of the larger Ohio River system.
