Time with the Titans
Cole then joined the Tennessee Titans. He was placed on their practice squad on December 11, 2007. A practice squad is a group of players who train with the team but are not on the main roster. They can be called up if needed. He was re-signed in January 2008 but was released again in August 2008.

During the 2009 season, Cole made many tackles. He mostly played on special teams. Special teams are units that play during kickoffs, punts, and field goals. Cole also improved his defensive skills. He started the Jets' last regular season game against the Buffalo Bills. In that game, he made his first two interceptions. An interception is when a defensive player catches a pass meant for an offensive player. One of his interceptions was returned for his first career touchdown. A touchdown scores points for the team.
