Marysvale is a small town located in Piute County, Utah, in the United States. In 2010, about 408 people lived there. It's a popular starting point for the exciting Paiute ATV Trail, which is great for ATV riding!

History of Marysvale
Marysvale got its first post office in 1872. The town's name probably honors the Virgin Mary.
Mining Discoveries
In the late 1860s, people found silver in the mountains west of Marysvale. This was in places like Bullion Canyon and Mount Belknap. Later, in 1889, gold was also discovered.
Even more exciting, in 1949, uranium was found! This led the United States Atomic Energy Commission to open an office and a place to buy uranium ore in Marysvale. The uranium was found in rocks like granite and rhyolite. It was often in the form of pitchblende, a special uranium mineral.
Geography and Climate
Marysvale is a town with a total area of about 15.1 square miles (39.1 square kilometers). Most of this area is land, with only a tiny bit being water.
