Masayoshi Itō (伊東 正義, Itō Masayoshi, 15 December 1913 – 21 May 1994) was an important Japanese politician. He was born on December 15, 1913, in Aizuwakamatsu, Japan. He passed away on May 21, 1994, in Tokyo.

Itō served as the acting Prime Minister of Japan for a short time in 1980. This happened after the sudden death of the previous Prime Minister, Masayoshi Ōhira. He also held the important role of Foreign Minister from 1980 to 1981.

Masayoshi Itō studied at the Tokyo Imperial University. This was a very respected university in Japan. His education helped him prepare for a career in public service.
