Mascotte is a city located in Lake County, Florida, in the United States. In 2020, about 6,609 people lived there. This was more than the 5,101 people who lived there in 2010. Mascotte is also part of the larger Greater Orlando area, which includes cities like Orlando, Kissimmee, and Sanford.

History of Mascotte
The city of Mascotte got its name from a ship called the Mascotte. This ship was used to carry tobacco from Cuba during the Spanish–American War. A man named Henry B. Plant, who helped promote the city of Tampa, owned the ship. You can even see the Mascotte ship on the official seals of both Tampa and Mascotte. The ship was active between Tampa, Key West, and Havana from 1886 to 1924.

Mascotte is located at specific coordinates: 28 degrees, 36 minutes, 40 seconds North and 81 degrees, 54 minutes, 39 seconds West.
