Mashpee Neck is a special kind of community called a census-designated place (CDP). It's located in the town of Mashpee in Barnstable County, Massachusetts, United States. In 2020, about 1,076 people lived there. It is the most populated of the seven CDPs in Mashpee.
Geography of Mashpee Neck
Mashpee Neck is found in the eastern part of the town of Mashpee. It sits on a piece of land between the Mashpee River to its west and Shoestring Bay to its east. To the north, it is bordered by Quinaquisset Avenue. The Cotuit area of the town of Barnstable is located across Shoestring Bay to the east.
The United States Census Bureau says that Mashpee Neck CDP covers a total area of about 1.44 square miles (3.8 square kilometers). Out of this, about 1.27 square miles (3.3 square kilometers) is land, and 0.17 square miles (0.5 square kilometers) is water. This means about 12.83% of its total area is water.

In 2000, there were 901 people living in Mashpee Neck. These people made up 352 households and 260 families. The area had about 715 people per square mile (276 people per square kilometer). There were 518 homes, with about 411 homes per square mile (159 homes per square kilometer).
Most of the people living there were White (92.90%). There were also smaller groups of African American (2.66%), Native American (0.89%), and Asian (0.89%) residents. Some people identified as being from two or more races (2.11%). A small number of people (0.55%) were Hispanic or Latino.
