MasterChef Ireland is a popular cooking game show that started in Ireland. It's part of a big international TV show family created by Franc Roddam. The show challenges everyday people to show off their amazing cooking skills.

The series first aired on RTÉ. Later, in 2016, the show moved to another TV channel called TV3.

Season 1 Highlights

The very first season of MasterChef Ireland was a big hit. Many talented home cooks competed to become the first MasterChef champion. The winner of this first series was Mary Carney.

Season 2 Highlights

A second season was announced in early 2012. It started on October 4, 2012, on RTÉ Two. The final episode aired on December 13, 2012. The winner of the second season was Tamarin Blackmur.

Celebrity MasterChef 2013

In 2013, a special version called Celebrity MasterChef Ireland began. This series featured eight well-known Irish celebrities who wanted to prove their cooking skills. Dylan McGrath and Nick Munier returned as judges for this celebrity edition.

The celebrities faced tough cooking challenges. For example, in the first week, they had to cook a dish that showed their personality. They also had to make a tricky French dessert called Crêpe Suzette.

The winner of Celebrity MasterChef 2013 was David Gillick, a famous athlete. He won in the final episode on August 18, 2013, beating fellow finalists Aengus Mac Grianna and Maia Dunphy.
