Matong (say "mah-TONG") is a small town in Australia. It is located in the central part of the Riverina region. This area is in the state of New South Wales.
In 2016, about 164 people lived in Matong. The town is about 37 kilometres (23 miles) east of Narrandera. It is also 26 kilometres (16 miles) west of Coolamon.
