However, it was later discovered that his biological father was George Albert Harley de Vere Drummond, an English banker. Even though his last name is now de Vere Drummond in his personal life, he still uses Vaughn as his professional name for his movies.

How Matthew Vaughn Started as a Producer

His first film as a producer was a low-budget thriller called The Innocent Sleep in 1996. He then worked with his close friend, Guy Ritchie, to produce the film Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. This movie was a big hit and made a lot of money.

After that success, Vaughn continued to produce more of Ritchie's films, like Snatch and Swept Away.

Matthew Vaughn's Directing Debut

In 2004, Matthew Vaughn directed his first movie, Layer Cake. This film was very popular and led to more directing opportunities for him.
