Sienna Rose Diana Miller (born December 28, 1981) is an American-British actress. She was born in New York City but grew up in London. Miller started her career as a model, appearing in magazines like Italian Vogue and in the 2003 Pirelli Calendar.
Her acting career took off in 2004 with the movies Layer Cake and Alfie. She later played real-life people, such as socialite Edie Sedgwick in Factory Girl (2006) and author Caitlin Macnamara in The Edge of Love (2008). In 2009, she played the character The Baroness in the action movie G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.
Miller received award nominations for playing actress Tippi Hedren in the 2012 TV movie The Girl. She has also starred in popular films like Foxcatcher (2014), American Sniper (2014), The Lost City of Z (2016), and American Woman (2018).

Early life
Sienna Miller was born in New York City. When she was 18 months old, her family moved to London. She went to Heathfield School, a boarding school in Ascot, Berkshire.
Her father, Edwin Miller, is an American art dealer who specializes in Chinese art. Her mother, Josephine, is a British former model who was born in South Africa. Josephine once worked as a personal assistant to the musician David Bowie.
Acting career
Early Roles
Miller's first movie was the romantic comedy South Kensington (2001). She also had small roles in movies like High Speed (2002). In 2003, she appeared in the American TV show Keen Eddie. This was one of her first roles for American audiences.
Breakthrough in Film
The year 2004 was a big one for Miller's career. She starred in the crime movie Layer Cake with Daniel Craig. She also appeared in Alfie with Jude Law. These movies made her much more famous.
In 2005, she played Francesca Bruni in the movie Casanova, alongside Heath Ledger. That same year, she acted in a play called As You Like It in London's West End.
Miller played Edie Sedgwick, an artist's muse from the 1960s, in the movie Factory Girl (2006). In 2007, she was in the fantasy film Stardust and the drama Interview with Steve Buscemi.

In 2015, she returned to Broadway to play Sally Bowles in the musical Cabaret. She also appeared in several films, including High-Rise and Burnt, where she worked with Bradley Cooper again.
In 2016, she played Nina Fawcett, the wife of explorer Percy Fawcett, in The Lost City of Z. She also starred in the crime drama Live by Night, directed by Ben Affleck. In 2017, she returned to the London stage in a production of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.
Recent Work
In 2018, Miller starred in the drama American Woman. She played a single mother whose daughter disappears. Critics praised her performance, and it was one of her first leading roles where she was the main focus of the story.
She co-starred with Chadwick Boseman in the 2019 action movie 21 Bridges. She also played Beth Ailes, the wife of TV executive Roger Ailes, in the TV miniseries The Loudest Voice (2019). In 2022, she starred in the Netflix miniseries Anatomy of a Scandal.

Before she became a famous actress, Miller was a model. She appeared in magazines like Italian Vogue and worked with brands such as Pepe Jeans London and Hugo Boss.
In 2007, Miller and her sister Savannah, who is a fashion designer, started their own fashion label called Twenty8Twelve. The name comes from Sienna's birthday. They designed for the label until 2012.
Charity Work
Miller is a Global Ambassador for the International Medical Corps. She has traveled with them to the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Haiti to help with their work. She is also an ambassador for the Starlight Children's Foundation, which helps seriously ill children.
Personal life
In 2004, Miller was engaged to actor Jude Law, her co-star from the movie Alfie. They separated in 2006. They got back together for a time but split again in 2011.
From 2011 to 2015, Miller was in a relationship with actor Tom Sturridge. They have a daughter, who was born in July 2012.
Since late 2021, Miller has been dating actor Oli Green. They have a daughter, who was born in December 2023. The couple was seen at an Oasis concert at Wembley Stadium in July 2025.
