Emekwanem Ogugua Biosah Jr. (born March 29, 1990), who is known by his stage name Maxo Kream, is a Nigerian-American rapper from Houston, Texas. He is famous for his honest and personal style of rapping, where he often tells stories about his life experiences.
Maxo Kream released his first album, Punken, in 2018. His next album, Brandon Banks, came out in 2019 and was his first with a major record label. His younger brother, KCG Josh, is also a rapper.

Early Life and Music Beginnings
Maxo Kream was born in Houston, Texas. His father is a Nigerian immigrant, which makes Maxo a first-generation Nigerian-American. He grew up in the southwest part of Houston and went to Kempner High School.
It was in high school that Maxo started his rap career. He formed a group with his friends called Kream Clicc. In 2012, he began to get noticed after he posted a remix of the song "Rigamortus" by Kendrick Lamar on YouTube.
He released his first mixtapes, Retro Card and Quicc Strikes, which became very popular online. These early projects helped him become more well-known in the music world. In 2013, he even performed as a supporting act for the rapper Chief Keef during his tour in Texas.
Rise to Fame
In 2015, Maxo Kream released a mixtape called #Maxo... which got positive reviews from big music publications like XXL Magazine and Pitchfork. The next year, he released another project called The Persona Tape.
His official debut album, Punken, was released in 2018. This album helped establish him as an important voice in hip hop.
In 2019, Maxo Kream's career took a big step forward when he signed a record deal with Roc Nation, a company founded by the famous rapper Jay-Z. That same year, he released his first major-label album, Brandon Banks.
His next album, Weight of the World, was released in 2021. On this album, Maxo talks about the challenges he faced after becoming famous and deals with personal loss, including the passing of his brother in 2020.
