Maya Kazan (born November 24, 1986) is an American actress. She is famous for playing Eleanor Gallinger in the TV show The Knick from 2014 to 2015.
Maya's Early Life
Maya Kazan was born in Los Angeles, California, on November 24, 1986. Her parents, Nicholas Kazan and Robin Swicord, write movie scripts. Her grandparents were Elia Kazan, a famous film director, and Molly Kazan, who wrote plays. Maya's sister, Zoe Kazan, is also an actress. Her family on her father's side is Greek.

Acting on Stage
In 2012, Maya Kazan played the role of Lucrece in a play called The Liar. This play was written by Pierre Corneille and adapted by David Ives. She performed it at the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey.
In 2013, she acted as Laura in a play by Michael Rabe. It was called The Future Is Not What It Was. This play was shown at the Walkerspace theater in New York.
In 2014, Maya took on the part of the adult Perdita. This was in William Shakespeare's play The Winter's Tale. She performed at the Old Globe Theater. A newspaper review in 2014 said that Maya had a natural glow. It also mentioned her smart and gentle acting.
