Early Career and Moving Clubs
Mbo started his professional career in Belgium. He played for clubs like Kortrijk and Mouscron. Later, he moved to Standard Liège.
In 2000, Mbo joined Sporting CP in Portugal. He moved there in January and helped his team win the league championship that season. People sometimes called him Monsieur Un But Par Match, which means "Mr. One-Goal-A-Match." This was because he scored goals so often for his clubs.
