From its source, the stream flows towards the north-northeast. It then enters southeastern Vernon County, about four miles from where it started. The creek continues its path, flowing east of Bellamy and west of Montevallo.

The stream finally meets Clear Creek about eight miles southwest of El Dorado Springs. This meeting point is called its confluence.
