The McGregor Range is a group of mountains found in the central part of British Columbia, a province in Canada. It sits between the main Rocky Mountains to the northeast and the Fraser River to the southwest. This mountain range is also bordered by the Torpy River on its southeast side and the McGregor River on its northwest side.

What is the McGregor Range?

Even though the McGregor Range has many mountains and is right next to the famous Rocky Mountains, it's actually considered part of something called the McGregor Plateau. A plateau is a large area of high, flat land. The McGregor Plateau is itself a part of an even bigger area known as the Fraser Plateau.

Where is this Mountain Range Located?

The McGregor Range is located in the "Central Interior" of British Columbia. This means it's in the middle of the province, away from the coast. It's a region known for its beautiful natural landscapes, including forests, rivers, and, of course, mountains!

Mountains on a Plateau?

It might seem a bit unusual for a mountain range to be part of a plateau. However, the McGregor Range shows that not all plateaus are perfectly flat. Some can have significant hills and mountains rising from them. This makes the McGregor Range a unique part of British Columbia's varied geography.
