You can enjoy many activities at Meacham Lake. Unlike some other lakes in the park, you are allowed to use motorboats here. This makes it great for fishing or just cruising around.

There is also a campground at the north end of the lake. The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation runs this campground. It's a perfect spot for families to camp and enjoy nature.

How the Lake Gets and Gives Water

Lakes often have water flowing into them and out of them. For Meacham Lake:

  • The main river flowing into the lake is the Osgood River. This river starts from Osgood Pond and flows north into Meacham Lake.
  • The water leaves Meacham Lake through the East Branch of the St. Regis River. This river then flows away from the lake.

Who Discovered Meacham Lake?
