Meadows is a friendly town located in the beautiful Adelaide Hills region of South Australia. It's a place with a rich past, featuring many old buildings, unique craft shops, a local winery, and a tasty bakery. Every year, Meadows comes alive with two fun events: the Meadows Country Fair and the Meadows Easter Fair. Back in 2006, about 752 people called Meadows home.
The land that makes up Meadows was first officially mapped out on January 31, 1839. This important survey was done by a person named Charles Flaxman.
Just outside Meadows, you'll find the huge Kuitpo Forest. This forest covers about 5000 hectares and is a fantastic spot for outdoor activities. You can go bushwalking, cycling, or even horse riding there. Nearby, the Prospect Hill Museum shares stories about the area's dairy farming history. It even has a special room that looks just like an old milk room!
