Meana Sardo, also called Meana in the Sardinian language, is a small town in Italy. It is a comune, which is like a municipality or local government area. Meana Sardo is located in the Province of Nuoro on the island of Sardinia.
The town is about 80 kilometres (50 mi) north of Cagliari, which is a major city in Sardinia. It is also about 45 kilometres (28 mi) southwest of Nuoro. As of December 31, 2004, about 2,028 people lived there. The town covers an area of 73.8 square kilometres (28.5 sq mi).
Meana Sardo shares its borders with several other towns. These include Aritzo, Atzara, Belvì, Laconi, and Samugheo.
