Mall Changes Over Time
The mall stayed the same for many years. Then, in 1985, plans were made to make it bigger. This plan added more shopping space. A new department store, Sears, also joined the mall in 1989. Sears moved from its old location in Rockledge to the mall.
Over the years, the mall has had different owners. Today, it is owned by the Namdar Realty Group.
New Stores and Closures
In 2013, a store called Sports Authority opened at the mall. However, it closed in 2016 when the company went out of business. An Ollie's Bargain Outlet then opened in that spot in 2018.
In 2021, it was announced that the Sears store at the mall would be closing. It was part of a plan to close many Sears stores across the country. The Sears store closed on May 2, 2021.
