Mic'hael Goubron Brooks, born on August 28, 1991, is a former American professional football player. He played as a defensive tackle, a position where players try to stop the opposing team's offense. Brooks played college football at East Carolina University.
He was part of the Seattle Seahawks team that won Super Bowl XLVIII. Brooks also played for several other teams. These included the Detroit Lions, BC Lions, Saskatchewan Roughriders, and Edmonton Eskimos.

Early Life and High School Football
Mic'hael Brooks grew up in North Carolina. He played high school football at Bartlett Yancey High School. He was a very strong player on defense.
During his high school career, Brooks made 331 tackles. A tackle is when a defensive player stops the player with the ball. He was named an all-region and all-conference player for three years. He also won the Defensive MVP award multiple times.
In his senior year, Brooks was the team captain. He earned all-state honors. That year, he had 94 tackles and 12.5 sacks. A sack is when a defensive player tackles the opposing quarterback behind the line of scrimmage. He was also named the Danville Regional Defensive Player-of-the-Year in 2008. Brooks also played track and field in high school.
College Football Career
Brooks continued his football journey at East Carolina University. He played for the East Carolina Pirates from 2009 to 2012. During his time there, he played in 43 games.
He recorded 52 solo tackles and ten sacks for the Pirates. His strong performance earned him honors as a Conference USA All-Freshman player.

Detroit Lions Experience
The Detroit Lions signed Brooks on May 2, 2013. This was his first professional team. However, he was released by the Lions a few weeks later, on May 28, 2013.
Seattle Seahawks Time
The Seattle Seahawks picked up Brooks on May 29, 2013. He was released by the Seahawks on August 31, 2013. However, he was re-signed just a few days later, on September 2, 2013.
He was released again on September 11, 2013. The next day, he joined their practice squad. A practice squad is a group of players who train with the team but are not on the main roster. Brooks was later moved to the active roster on November 9, 2013. He played in a game against the Atlanta Falcons on November 10, where he made one tackle. He was released again on November 11.
Brooks rejoined the practice squad on December 19, 2013. On February 5, 2014, he signed a contract for the next season. The Seahawks went on to win Super Bowl XLVIII against the Denver Broncos. BC Lions in Canada
