Michael Biehn (born July 31, 1956) is an American actor. He is well-known for his roles in exciting science fiction movies. Many of these films were directed by James Cameron.
Some of his most famous roles include Sgt. Kyle Reese in The Terminator (1984) and Cpl. Dwayne Hicks in Aliens (1986). He also played Lt. Coffey in The Abyss (1989). Michael Biehn has also appeared in other popular movies like Tombstone (1993) and The Rock (1996). On television, he was in shows like The Magnificent Seven and Adventure Inc.. He was even nominated for a Best Actor Saturn Award for his role in Aliens.

Early Life and Education
Michael Biehn was born in Anniston, Alabama. He was the second of three boys in his family. His father was a lawyer. When he was young, his family moved to Lincoln, Nebraska, and then to Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
In Arizona, he joined the high school drama club. This is where he first started acting. After high school, he studied drama at the University of Arizona. Later, he moved to Hollywood to start his acting career.
Acting Career Highlights
Michael Biehn began his film career with a small part in the movie Grease (1978). He appeared in a couple of scenes in the film. In 1981, he played a character named Douglas Breen in the movie The Fan.
Working with James Cameron
Michael Biehn is especially known for his work with director James Cameron. Their first big movie together was The Terminator in 1984. Biehn played Sgt. Kyle Reese, a soldier sent from the future. His job was to protect Sarah Connor from a dangerous robot. He acted alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton in this hit film.
He later had a small part in the sequel, Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991). This scene was added back into the Director's Cut version of the movie.
Their next collaboration was the science fiction action film Aliens (1986). In this movie, Biehn played Corporal Hicks, a brave soldier. He joined the cast at the last minute, which meant he didn't have time for special training like the other actors. However, because he had worked with Cameron before, he was ready to start filming right away. Sigourney Weaver, who starred in the movie, praised Michael Biehn for bringing a kind and strong presence to his character. For his performance, he was nominated for a Saturn Award for Best Actor.
Michael Biehn also worked with James Cameron for a third time in The Abyss (1989). He played Lieutenant Hiram Coffey in this underwater adventure film. His performance in The Abyss was highly praised by critics.
Other Notable Roles
Biehn played the famous gunslinger Johnny Ringo in the Western movie Tombstone (1993). He had a memorable scene with Val Kilmer, who played Doc Holliday.
