Michael Dameski (born on November 7, 1995) is a talented Australian dancer, actor, and singer. He is known for his amazing dance skills and his roles in musicals and TV shows.

Early Steps in Dance
Michael Dameski started dancing at a very young age. When he was just six years old, he joined his first dance competition. It was called "The 2001 Australian Dance Idol." Even without any special dance lessons, Michael did incredibly well. He finished in the top ten!
After that, he began formal dance training. He studied at the Glenda Yee School of Dance. Later, he went to Brent Street Studios in New South Wales. This training helped him represent Australia in a big competition. It was the World Championships of Performing Arts in Los Angeles. At this event, Michael won gold medals in every category he entered. He was also named the overall Junior World Dancer.
In 2013, Michael won the Australian Dancer of the Year title. This was at the Showcase Australian Dance Championships. After that, he went on to win another big dance title in the U.S. called Rainbow Dance in Las Vegas. Michael also performed a special song called 'One Dance' at a children's singing festival in Macedonia. He also appeared on the TV show World Of Dance on NBC.
Starring in Billy Elliot the Musical
In October 2008, Michael Dameski joined the cast of Billy Elliot the Musical in Sydney. This was a very special role because he was one of five young actors chosen to play Billy. Billy Elliot is a boy who loves to dance. Michael performed as Billy in Sydney and then in Melbourne. His last show as Billy in Australia was on June 13, 2009.
Michael then moved to New York City to perform as Billy on Broadway. He joined the Broadway production of Billy Elliot the Musical in January 2010. He performed there until September 2010. After that, he joined the second North American tour of the musical. His final performance as Billy was on January 29, 2011.
For his role as Billy, Michael received some important awards. He was a joint winner of the Green Room Award in 2008. He also received an Australian Dance Award in 2009. Both awards were for his outstanding performance in Billy Elliot the Musical.
Life After Billy
After his time as Billy Elliot, Michael continued his dance and acting career. In 2012, he appeared on the TV show Young Talent Time. He won one of the heats, showing off his amazing skills.
In February 2014, Michael competed on So You Think You Can Dance Australia. He won the entire competition on May 1, 2014. This made him Australia's Favourite Dancer for that year! He also became an original member of the Dream Dance Company.
Michael also toured with the musical Newsies. He played the role of Tommy boy. He also appeared in the "Newsies" Broadway Recording, which was shown in theaters.
In 2018, Michael Dameski was a runner-up on the second season of the US TV show World of Dance. He even choreographed all his own dance routines for the show. He also appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. In February 2025, Michael was the male lead in Lady Gaga's music video for her song, Abracadabra.
