Michael Keith Davis II, born on January 6, 1995, is an American professional football player. He plays as a cornerback for the Washington Commanders in the National Football League (NFL). Before joining the NFL, he played college football for the BYU Cougars. He started his NFL career with the Los Angeles Chargers in 2017.

Early Life and Sports
Michael Davis grew up in Glendale, California. He was raised by his single mother and is of mixed heritage. He went to Glendale High School.
High School Achievements
Davis was a talented athlete in high school. He played both football and ran track and field for all four years.
In football, he earned top honors in his senior year. He was named first-team All-CIF, which means he was one of the best players in his area.
In track and field, Davis was very fast. He won the Pacific League title in the 100-meter sprint three years in a row. He also won the 200-meter sprint four years in a row. His best times were 10.5 seconds for the 100-meter dash and 21.3 seconds for the 200-meter dash. He even made it to the California State Championship Meet for the 200-meter race twice. In 2012, he finished seventh, and in 2013, he finished fifth.
College Football Career
Davis played college football at BYU from 2013 to 2016. During his time there, he made 110 tackles. He also broke up 17 passes, meaning he stopped the ball from reaching the opposing team's receiver.

In his senior year, Davis had a big moment. He made an interception and ran the ball back 40 yards. This play helped his team, the BYU Cougars, win a surprising game against Michigan State with a score of 31-14.
Professional Football Career

Michael Davis began his professional career in 2017. He was not chosen in the NFL Draft, but he still got a chance to play.
Los Angeles Chargers (2017–2023)
The Los Angeles Chargers signed Davis as an undrafted free agent on May 1, 2017. He was first placed on the team's practice squad. This is a group of players who train with the team but are not on the main roster. However, he was quickly moved to the active roster on September 16, 2017.
In 2020, Davis signed a new contract with the Chargers. In a game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he made an exciting play. He intercepted a pass from quarterback Tom Brady and ran it 78 yards for a touchdown. This was a big moment in his career. In 2021, Davis signed a three-year contract extension with the Chargers.
Washington Commanders (2024–present)
On March 18, 2024, Michael Davis signed a one-year contract with the Washington Commanders. He continues his NFL career with this team.
