Michele Bravi (born 19 December 1994) is an Italian pop singer, songwriter, and actor. He became famous after winning the seventh season of the Italian TV show X Factor. His first song after winning, "La vita e la felicità", was written by Tiziano Ferro. It quickly reached the top spot on the Italian Singles Chart. Michele's first album, A passi piccoli, came out in June 2014.
In 2015, after leaving Sony Music, he released an EP called I Hate Music. This EP reached number 3 on the Italian Albums chart. In 2017, Michele Bravi took part in the Sanremo Music Festival with his song "Il diario degli errori". This song was a preview of his album Anime di carta, which became a number one hit. After acting in the Italian TV series La compagnia del Cigno, he released his second number one album, La geografia del buio, in 2021. The song "Mantieni il bacio" was a popular single from this album.
Since he started his career, Michele Bravi has sold over 300,000 copies of his music in Italy. He has had six songs in the Top ten Charts, with two of them reaching number one. Michele Bravi's Music Journey
Michele Bravi was born on 19 December 1994 in Città di Castello, a city in Italy. His parents are Giovanna Machi and Stefano Bravi. He has an older sister named Marta.
He started singing when he was a child in the city choir. Later, he decided to leave the choir. While studying at high school, Michele remained interested in music, even though it was just a hobby. He then began taking music lessons and learned to play the piano.
Winning X Factor
In 2013, Michele Bravi tried out for the seventh season of the Italian talent show X Factor. He sang "Father and Son" by Cat Steven. Morgan chose him for his "Boys Under 25" team. Michele made it to the final of the competition. On 12 December 2013, he won the show, beating the band Ape Escape. During the show, Michele sang "La vita e la felicità". Tiziano Ferro helped write this song. It was released as his first single. In its second week, the song became number one on the Italian Singles Chart.
The song was also part of an extended play (EP) with the same name. Sony Music released it on 13 December 2013.
First Album and New Music
In February 2014, Michele Bravi sang the title song for the movie Sotto una buona stella. This film was directed by Carlo Verdone. "Sotto una buona stella" was also released as Michele's second single. His first full album, A passi piccoli, came out on 10 June 2014. This album included songs written by famous artists like Giorgia, Tiziano Ferro, Emilio Munda, Federico Zampaglione, and James Blunt. The album also featured the singles "Un giorno in più" and "In bilico".
After leaving Sony, Michele joined Universal Music in 2015. He started a YouTube channel to connect more with his fans. During that year, he began recording new songs. In October, his EP I Hate Music was released. The single "The Days" came out before the EP. Michele helped write all the songs on this EP, and the lyrics are in English. The EP also has a cover of Troye Sivan's song "The Fault in Our Stars". In early 2016, Michele started his first concert tour.
Sanremo Festival and Hit Songs
In February 2017, Michele Bravi competed in the "Big Artists" section of the 67th Sanremo Music Festival. He performed the song "Il diario degli errori". This song was the main single from his second album, Anime di carta, which was released on 24 February 2017. The album reached the top of the Italian Albums Chart. The song "Il diario degli errori" reached number four on the Italian Singles Chart and was certified double platinum. His second single from the album, "Solo per un po'", won the Best Performance Award at the MTV Italian Music Awards.
From October 2017 to May 2017, he was a music tutor on the seventeenth season of Amici di Maria De Filippi. In 2018, Michele worked with Elodie and rapper Gué Pequeno on the Top ten hit "Nero Bali". This song sold over 100,000 copies. In January 2019, he acted in the Italian TV series "La compagnia del Cigno".
On February 18, 2020, he announced that his third album would be released soon. In May 2020, he joined the special version of Amici Speciali with his song "La vita breve dei coriandoli". In January 2021, Michele released his second single "Mantieni il bacio" and the album La geografia del buio. This album became his second number one on the Italian Albums Chart. The single was certified gold by Fimi. On June 22, 2021, Michele released the song "Falene" with the British band Sophie and the Giants.
