Michelle Bonae Finn-Burrell, born on May 8, 1965, in Orlando, Florida, is a famous American former track and field athlete. She was a very fast runner, specializing in short-distance races called sprints. Michelle went to Oak Ridge High School in Orlando.
She set a record at Florida State University for the 100 meters race. This record lasted for many years, even into the 2006 season. Michelle won a gold medal at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. She was part of the 4 × 100 meters relay team that competed in the heats. At the same Olympics, she also reached the final of the 200 meters race, finishing in seventh place. In 1993, Michelle was a semi-finalist in both the 100 and 200 meters at the World Championships. She also earned a bronze medal in the 200 meters at the US national championships that year.

Michelle was a key member of the United States 4 × 100 meters relay team. This team won a gold medal at the 1986 Goodwill Games in Moscow. She showed amazing talent throughout her four years at Florida State University. She earned "All-America" honors every year, starting in 1984.

Michelle received All-America honors in various races. These included the 55 meters, 100 meters, and 200 meters. She also earned honors with the 4 × 100 meters relay team at the 1987 NCAA Championships. In 1990, Michelle became the TAC/USA's National Indoor Champion. Michelle Finn-Burrell is married to Leroy Burrell. Leroy is also a famous American sprinter. He broke the world record for the 100 meters race twice. He ran it in 9.90 seconds in 1991 and then in 9.85 seconds in 1994. Michelle and Leroy have three sons: Cameron, Joshua, and Jaden.
