Michelle Yvonne Hunziker (born January 24, 1977) is a famous television presenter and former model. She is from both Switzerland and Italy.
Michelle is well-known for hosting many popular TV shows in Italy and Germany. She will also help host the final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel, Switzerland.

Early life and beginnings
Michelle Hunziker was born in Sorengo, a town in the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland. Her mother, Ineke, is Dutch, and her father, Rudolf, was a Swiss painter.
In 1983, her family moved to Ostermundigen, near Bern, in Switzerland. Later, Michelle moved to Milan, Italy, with her mother. There, she started her career as a fashion model. By age 17, she was modeling for big names like Giorgio Armani and La Perla.
Career highlights
Michelle's TV career began in Italy in 1996. She presented shows like I cervelloni and Paperissima Sprint. Her friendly personality quickly made her popular.
In 1998, she started acting. She appeared in the TV series La Forza dell'Amore and films like Fammi stare sotto al letto. She also hosted music and fashion shows like La festa del Disco and Nonsolomoda.
Michelle also became famous in Germany. In 1998, she hosted the Goldene Kamera awards. She later co-hosted Deutschland sucht den Superstar, which is the German version of Pop Idol. This show made her very well-known in Germany.
From 2009, she joined Wetten, dass..?, one of Germany's most popular TV shows. This show was also shown live in Austria and Switzerland.
In Italy, Michelle continued to host major shows. She co-hosted the comedy show Zelig and the music festival Festivalbar. She even won an Italian TV Oscar for "Discovery of the Year" in 2001.
Michelle has also performed in musicals. She played the main roles in The Sound of Music and Cabaret. Both shows were very successful in Italy.
In 2007, she hosted the famous Italian song contest, the Festival di Sanremo. She has also been a long-time presenter of Striscia la notizia and Paperissima. In 2018, she hosted the Sanremo Music Festival again.
Looking ahead, Michelle will be one of the hosts for the final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel.
Personal life
Michelle Hunziker was married to Italian singer Eros Ramazzotti from 1998 to 2002. They have one daughter together. Through this marriage, Michelle also became an Italian citizen.
Later, she married Tomaso Trussardi in 2014. They have two daughters together.
