Early Swimming Career

Michelle MacPherson showed great promise as a swimmer from a young age. She trained hard and became very skilled in her chosen strokes. Her talent led her to be selected for Canada's national swim team.

Olympic Dreams and Challenges

Michelle was chosen to be part of the Canadian Olympic swim team for the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow. This was a huge achievement for her. However, she was unable to compete at those Games. Michelle won a bronze medal in the women's 4×100-metre medley relay event. She swam alongside her Canadian teammates Anne Ottenbrite, Reema Abdo, and Pamela Rai.
