Midville is a city in Burke County, Georgia, United States. The population was 269 at the 2010 census, and 385 in 2020. It is part of the Augusta, Georgia metropolitan area.
Contents
History
The Georgia General Assembly incorporated Midville as a town in 1877. The community was so named on account of its central location between Macon and Savannah.
Geography
Midville is located in the southwest corner of Burke County at 32°49′17″N 82°14′12″W / 32.82139°N 82.23667°W (32.821321, -82.236586). The southern border of the city is the Ogeechee River, which is also the county line.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.0 square miles (5.2 km2), of which 0.008 square miles (0.02 km2), or 0.34%, is water.
