Migbelis Lynette Castellanos Romero (born June 7, 1995) is a Venezuelan actress, TV host, model, and beauty queen. She won the title of Miss Venezuela in 2013. Later, she represented Venezuela in the Miss Universe 2014 pageant, where she was one of the top ten finalists. In 2018, she also won Nuestra Belleza Latina, a popular TV competition.

About Migbelis
Her Early Life and Dreams
Migbelis Castellanos was born in Cabimas, Venezuela, on June 7, 1995. She is the second of three children. Her parents are Miguel Ángel Castellanos and Isbelia Del Valle Romero. Migbelis has two brothers, Miguel Leonardo and Moisés Miguel.
When she was a child, Migbelis dreamed of becoming a professional baseball player. Her father played baseball for the Tiburones de La Guaira and also in the United States.
From a young age, Migbelis was also interested in modeling and television. She appeared on local children's TV shows. She even had a weekly radio program in her hometown.
Her Path to Pageants
Migbelis always dreamed of participating in and winning Miss Venezuela. She started competing in smaller pageants early on. She was crowned Mini Reina Venezuela 2003. Later, she became Miss Teen Costa Oriental 2010. She was also a pre-candidate for the Feria de la Chinita 2012.
In 2013, Migbelis finally entered the Miss Venezuela competition. She did very well and won the contest. She also studied at the Universidad Rafael Belloso Chacin in Maracaibo. She was studying Social Communication and Political Science. She later continued her studies online while preparing for Miss Universe 2014.
Life Events
In 2020, Migbelis shared that she had tested positive for COVID-19. She recovered well from this health challenge.
In 2023, Migbelis met American businessman Jason Unanue. They started a romantic relationship. On August 16, 2024, she announced on the Univision show Desiguales that she was expecting a baby. On September 30, they shared that they would have a boy. She announced her engagement on October 28, 2024. On November 23, 2024, they got married in Old Tappan, New Jersey. Their son, Caden, was born on March 25, 2025.
Her Pageant Journey
Miss Teen Costa Oriental
In 2010, Migbelis won the title of Miss Teen Costa Oriental 2010. This was an early step in her pageant career.
Miss Venezuela 2013
Migbelis took part in the reality show Miss Venezuela, Todo por la corona. Her strong performance helped her become one of the 26 finalists for the Miss Venezuela 2013 pageant.
The 61st Miss Venezuela pageant took place on October 10, 2013. Migbelis represented the Costa Oriental del Lago de Maracaibo region. At the end of the event, she was crowned Miss Venezuela 2013. The previous queen, Gabriela Isler, crowned her. Gabriela Isler later became Miss Universe 2013.
After winning, Migbelis became a temporary host for "Estrenos y Estrellas" on Venevisión. In February 2014, she traveled to Atlanta to study English. This was part of her preparation for Miss Universe 2014. On October 9, 2014, she passed her Miss Venezuela crown to the next winner, Mariana Jiménez.
During her time as Miss Venezuela, Migbelis visited many cities. She traveled across Venezuela and also visited Miami and New York City in the United States. She also worked as an image for big brands like Samsung and Procter & Gamble. She appeared in several magazines too.
Miss Universe 2014
Migbelis represented Venezuela at Miss Universe 2014. The pageant was held on January 25, 2015, in Doral, Florida. Migbelis did very well and placed in the Top 10 finalists. She finished 10th overall in the competition.
Her Career After Miss Universe
From 2015 to 2018, Migbelis was not on television as much. During this time, she performed in two plays. These plays were called "Todo por una Arepa" and "Mujeres Infieles." She acted alongside the well-known Venezuelan American actress Sonya Smith. This experience helped Migbelis prepare for new professional challenges.
Nuestra Belleza Latina 2018
In 2018, Migbelis decided to try something new. She joined the Univision program Nuestra Belleza Latina. She wanted to overcome her fears and past challenges. On December 2, 2018, she was crowned the new queen of Nuestra Belleza Latina 2018. She won with 46% of the public's votes. This was Venezuela's first victory in this reality show.
As her prize, Migbelis received a one-year contract with Univision. She also won $100,000. After her win, in March 2019, Univision gave her the chance to study at the Centro de Educación Artística. She spent two weeks there, taking intensive vocal classes.
