Mii facts for kids
A Mii is a special kind of digital character you can create and customize on Nintendo game consoles. Think of it as your own cartoon version of yourself, your friends, or even someone completely made up! Miis first appeared on the Nintendo Wii console. Later, you could also find them on the 3DS, Wii U, and Switch systems. Once you create a Mii, you can use it in many of Nintendo's fun video games.
Making Your Mii
You can create your Mii character in different places depending on your Nintendo console. On the original Wii, you would use the "Mii Channel." For the 3DS and Wii U, there's an app called "Mii Maker." If you have a Nintendo Switch, you can find the Mii creation tools in the system settings.
Miis let players make a caricature (a funny drawing that exaggerates features) of themselves or other people. You can also create characters from your imagination!
Customizing Your Mii
You have lots of ways to change how your Mii looks! You can pick different hairstyles, and choose the shapes of their eyes, nose, and mouth. You can even add facial hair like beards or mustaches, and wrinkles to make them look older.
You can also add cool accessories to your Mii. These include different hats and glasses. You can even change your Mii's height and weight to make them look just right.
On the 3DS and Wii U, there's a neat trick: you can take a picture of your own face! The game will then try to create a Mii for you based on your photo. After that, you can still go in and change anything you like to make it perfect.
