Playing Professional Football
Michael Jordan started his professional football journey in 2016. He joined the Los Angeles Rams as an undrafted free agent. This means he was not chosen during the main NFL draft but was signed later.
Time with the Rams
Jordan signed with the Rams right after the 2016 NFL draft. On September 3, 2016, he was released by the team. This happened during the final cuts to make the team's main roster. The very next day, he was signed to the Rams' practice squad. A practice squad is a group of players who train with the team but are not on the active roster. On November 22, 2016, Jordan was moved to the active roster. This meant he could play in official games.
He was released by the Rams again on September 2, 2017.
Joining the Browns
On September 3, 2017, Michael Jordan was picked up by the Cleveland Browns. This is called being "claimed off waivers." It means another team wanted him after he was released. He played for the Browns for a season.
