Starting with the Los Angeles Rams
After college, Mike Jordan was not chosen in the 2016 NFL draft. However, he was signed by the Los Angeles Rams as an undrafted free agent. This means a team signs a player who was not picked in the draft.
On September 3, 2016, the Rams decided to let him go. But the very next day, he was signed to their practice squad. A practice squad is a group of players who train with the team but are not on the main roster. On November 22, 2016, he was moved to the active roster, meaning he could play in games.
The Rams later let him go again on September 2, 2017.
Playing for the Cleveland Browns
On September 3, 2017, the Cleveland Browns picked up Mike Jordan. This is called being "claimed off waivers." It means another team wanted him after his previous team let him go.
