Michael David Veisor, Sr. (born August 25, 1952) is a Canadian former ice hockey goaltender. He played in the National Hockey League (NHL) from 1973 to 1984. People said he was "one of the most agile goaltenders around" and played "like a trapeze artist."

Mike Veisor's Early Life and Hockey
Mike Veisor was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. When he was young, he played in the 1963 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament. This is a big event for young hockey players.
Joining the NHL
In 1972, Mike was chosen in the NHL Amateur Draft. He was the 45th player picked overall. He started his NHL career with the Chicago Black Hawks in 1973. Mike was the second Jewish goalie to play in the NHL. He had hoped to be the first, but another player named Ross Brooks played before him.
Teams Mike Played For
Besides the Chicago Black Hawks, Mike also played for two other NHL teams:
- The Hartford Whalers
- The Winnipeg Jets
He stopped playing professional hockey after the 1984 season.
What Mike Does Now
Today, Mike Veisor works at Avon Old Farms School in Avon, Connecticut. He is the manager of the ice rink there.
Mike's son, Michael David Veisor, Jr., also played hockey. He was drafted by the St. Louis Blues in 1991. Mike Jr. played college and minor-league hockey, but he did not play in the NHL.
