Mikko Johannes Leppilampi (born on September 22, 1978) is a talented Finnish actor, musician, and TV host. He is the son of Jukka Leppilampi, who is a Finnish gospel musician. Mikko Leppilampi is known as one of Finland's most promising stars in the movie world. He became famous after his first movie, Helmiä ja sikoja, for which he also won a special award called a Jussi.

Early Acting Roles

Mikko Leppilampi started his acting career in 2003. His first big role was in the movie Helmiä ja sikoja. This film helped him become well-known in Finland. In 2005, he starred in the movie Kaksipäisen kotkan varjossa. In this film, he played a poet living in the early 1900s. At that time, Finland was part of Russia. He worked with famous actors like Vesa-Matti Loiri and director Timo Koivusalo.

Music and Hosting

Besides acting, Mikko Leppilampi is also a musician. He released his first music album in 2006. He has also sung songs for the movies he has been in.

In May 2007, Mikko Leppilampi had a big job: he hosted the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 in Helsinki. He hosted the show with another TV host named Jaana Pelkonen. The next year, in 2008, he was the person who announced Finland's votes for the Eurovision Song Contest.

Since August 2018, Leppilampi has been the host of Jahti. This is the Finnish version of a popular quiz show called The Chase.

Mikko Leppilampi has a daughter named Lilia, who was born in October 2005. Her mother is Emilia Vuorisalmi. Mikko and Emilia were married in 2006. They later divorced in 2010.
